Fossil casts, also called fossil replicas or reproductions, allow students, collectors, scientists, and others to handle and study precise reproductions of interesting and valuable fossils without risking damage to the originals (which often are unavailable for purchase, or would cost many times more). The museum-quality fossil replicas from PaleoScene include a variety of well-preserved and historically important specimens from several different geologic periods. Each is carefully cast in high-strength gypsum cement from molds of the original specimens, and meticulously hand painted to replicate the natural appearance of the original specimen. Resin composition is available at additional cost (please contact us for resin composition quotes).
Gypsum cement vs Resin composition
What's the difference? (Pros & cons)
The dinosaur skin (SKIN-1), African trilobite (PHA-AF1, PHA-AF2) and placoderm (PLACO-1 & PLACO2) casts come with felt pads on the bottom; most others include sturdy wire hangers on the back. All include full identification labels. Discounts for teachers and educational organizations. Payment may be made by check, money order, PayPal, or credit cards through PayPay (which does not require a PayPal account). Dealer inquiries welcome.

Arguably the most famous fossil in the world, Archaeopteryx is widely regarded as an intermediate form

Unlike most casts of this specimen that are many mold generations removed from the original, and thus somewhat lacking
in details, this cast is produced from an early generation mold that yields incredible fidelity, including not only
crisp details on the teeth, claws, and main veins of the feathers, but even the delicate cross-hatches on the feathers,
which are seen in few other casts (including most in museums).   Click on image for larger view.
Note: For orders outside the US, this cast is only available in resin composition.
