During the severe drought of 2023 the entire downward-sloping south end of the Ballroom, usually under at least a foot of water, eventually evaporated by late summer, allowing track workers to find and clean over 100 new tracks in this area, up to the broken edge of the track bed. Another dozen new tracks were found on a narrow exposure just to the south east, which probably connects to the Ballroom site but was separated by thick gravel. These will be covered soon in a separate page. One collection of a shallow theropod track, deep theropod track, and baby track (with indications of some partial baby tracks) was remarkably similar to a similar collection near the start of the southern juvenile sauropod trail. Latex rubber molds were made of both collections.
