This museum-quality garfish cast was made from an exceptionally well-preserved specimen hailing from the
famous Messel shale quarry in Germany.
It was carefully cast in high strength gypsum cement
and meticulously hand-painted to faithfully replicate the finest details of the original specimen, including the little diamond-shaped
scales and delicate fin rays. Includes an identification label and hanger on the back. The fish itself is approximately
9 inches long on a rectangular matrix approx. 7.5 by 12 inches.
